Volunteers

Podunk could not be a success without the help of dozens of volunteers. If you're interested in volunteering, submit an application.

We need your assistance in the following areas:

TICKET SALES
 
INFORMATION working at the gates with a smile, lots of patience and helpful  
PARKING this job is away from the music. Assist with parking cars.  
GATES collecting tickets, giving festival goers information, helping as needed.  
INFORMATION BOOTH needs full festival knowledge and smiling personality  
OPERATIONS

SETUP AND BREAKDOWN

involves setting up, and taking down, the stages, chairs, tables, signs, etc. Requirements are reasonably good physical condition and availability the week before and a few days after the Festival

 
PRE-FESTIVAL SIGNAGE AND SET-UP

putting up signs both on roadways and on the Festival grounds -- a "before the Festival job" starting on Monday.

 
STAGES

STAGE HANDS

assist the bands USHERS-keep aisles clear and area organized  
DRIVERS some musicians need to be picked up and returned to the airport(s). Larger instruments need to be moved from parking lot to bandstand. Vans needed (provided and/or driven by volunteers)  
BAND LIAISON under the Band Committee, greet bands on arrival at the Festival and get them to and through their 1st show time  
VENDORS

VENDOR ASSISTANCE

assist with our many vendors, set-up and problem solve when needed  
MERCHANDISE SALES selling Podunk items at Trading Post. This is another smiling face place! Assist with selling performers merchandise if needed.  
RAFFLES we’ll have the raffle items we just need you to sell the tickets  
ADMINISTRATIVE
FINANCE/ACCOUNTING work in the air-conditioned Fest accounting office during the festival. Good counting skills  
VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN Checking in volunteers - giving out credentials, shirts  
ACTIVITIES
BAND COMPETITION this takes place on Sunday and will require help organizing bands, totaling judges scores and making sure our bands are in the right spot.  
CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES we need someone to help organize crafts and games for kids during the festival.  
Kids' Academy (PODUNK BLUEGRASS Kids' Academy) we are trying to add an opportunity for kids to learn more about playing bluegrass music.  
FOOD SERVICE & HOSPITALITY
CANTINA work in our new food tent. this will be preparing, cooking and selling the great food we will be cooking up for purchase at the festival.  
HOSPITALITY TENT work serving, cleaning and assisting VIPs and Performers in designated area.
* requires 4 day commitment 6 hours per day
