During the festival we offer an instructional and performance
program for young bluegrass musicians age 8 to 15. Individual
and group instruction will be provided by our professional
staff. The Kids' Academy will present a group performance
on the Main Stage on Sunday morning. Check
out pictures from our 2006 program!

to vbaker220@hotmail.com or mail it to Vicki Baker, PO Box 215, Putnam, CT 06260.
Enrollment Requirements
Before enrolling, please ensure your child meets the following criteria:
- Can attend ALL the classes and the performance (see schedule on Registration
form)
- Will be of school age (8-18 years) and have some basic skills on their instrument
- Supply his or her own instrument (guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, or bass)
Recommendations
- Podunk Bluegrass Academy is designed for kids
age 8 to 18. However, if your child is younger but
has been taking lessons, plays his/her instrument
with basic proficiency, AND has an adequate attention
span, we will consider accepting him or her if room
allows.
- We recommend that students bring a tuner to class
with them. This can be an electronic tuner (such
as those made by Intellitouch), a tuning fork, or
pitch pipe. Guitar and banjo students should bring
a capo suitable for their instrument.
